 Most everyone has certain people they consider important extensions  of their 
families-family physicians, advisors, close friends, teachers,  coaches, and 
childcare assistants. Well my husband, kids and I have a "family  artist", 
Gabe Russo. Since moving into our custom built house in the summer  of 2000, we 
have called upon Gabe to give our home many beautiful finishing  touches. In 
fact, there isn't a room (indoors or out) that has been left  untouched by 
Gabe's unique artistic flair !! In recent years  his son (also  named Gabe !) has 
teamed up with Gabe, Sr. to complete  several of our home projects.  "Mystic 
Mountain" is a fitting name  because both father and son have done  amazing work 
in our  home using a wide range of materials on multi-surfaces  -- faux,  
crackle,  artwork on signs and murals, trompe l'oieles, antiquing cabinets,  and 
customizing kids' rooms and furniture. What friends and visitors notice  most 
when walking around my house is Gabe's heirloom artwork including a  "family 
tree", a brewing room mural in my husband's basement, my kids' art table  
painted and aged to match my breakfast room,  the laundry room  mural of clothes 
hanging in a country field, and my youngest child's  bedroom ceiling painted  
with clouds, moon, and iridescent stars. The  basement drywall painted to look 
like old wood beams,  one  wall of "aged bricks" revealed in places under the 
"peeled"  faux surface,  solid wood mantles turned into burled orcrackled  
antique wood, and antiqued beadboard porch ceilings  are  always conversation 
pieces as folks wonder..."how did Gabe do that?!" I answer  that Gabe is truly an 
artist who is able to listen to the clients' ideas and  then use his skills 
with color and technique to bring about a one of a kind  piece of artwork or 
finish ! We are very satisfied clients who consider Gabe and  son our friends. 
Through the years they have done wonderfully  priceless work for reasonable 
prices ! The Russos take extreme pride in  their craft and treat their clients 
and their homes with respect and  care as well. The bonus is you may get to hear 
Gabe  sing  Frank Sinatra-style or perform a magic trick ! After 6 years and 
many  projects ,our family continues to value the Russos as friends and  as 
artists and look forward to future specialized painting and  artwork
by Mystic  Mountain !!

Gabriel,

I love your work!  You are a wonderful artist and your colors are fabulous.  The room looks warm and so inviting.  I love the bathroom too.  You made it look larger, taller and such fun.
